How To Become A Licensed Amateur Radio Operator

To operate an Amateur Radio station transmitter you will need an FCC issued License. There are a number of good resources available on the internet explaining the process. You can also contact the Saint Paul Radio Club for informaion on classes available locally. A good start would be to attend our monthly club meeting and talk to our friendly and helpful attendees for guidance. There are no age limitations for becoming licensed. The test pool questions and answers are available as a study guide. There is no morse code requirement. There are three license levels available. Technician, General and Extra Class. Rules, Regulations and Electrical Theory make up the test question pools.

Another great source is the arrl.org website.

Ready to take the Amateur Radio License Test Search for Volunteer Examiner Tests near you.
